There are\u00a0at least four\u00a0ways that maintenance helps users to get the most they can from their NoiseMap software.<\/p>\n

  1. User technical support is free for clients who have a current maintenance contract.<\/li>\n
  2. Computer systems are constantly changing, as the regular updates to\u00a0Windows\u00a010 remind us. New processors, graphics cards and networks also pose constant challenges for software.<\/li>\n
  3. Calculation methods are evolving.\u00a0 For example, the Lden method advised by Defra in 2003 was changed in 2005, and\u00a0advisory updates\u00a0to CRTN have been issued through the DMRB.\u00a0 The recent demand for TNPM has also prompted new requirements.<\/li>\n
  4. Our\u00a0programme of continuous improvement, adds functionality to ease the work of busy and demanding professionals, with the aim of a major release every year.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    NoiseMap’s features described in this website relate to the current<\/strong> release, and some\u00a0features are not available in earlier versions.\u00a0 The ‘News’ page of this website tracks the development of new features.\u00a0\u00a0A permanent licence entitles you to keep using any version released\u00a0up to the end of\u00a0the first year after purchase, until your licence expires.<\/p>\n

    Maintenance entitles you to\u00a0technical support and software improvements.\u00a0 It is free\u00a0on most new licences for the first year after purchase and is optional thereafter.\u00a0 The price can be less than the cost of buying one new copy of the software every five years, and yet you are always up to date and at the same time you receive valuable on-going user support.
