Maintenance

There are at least four ways that maintenance helps users to get the most they can from their NoiseMap software.

  1. User technical support is free for clients who have a current maintenance contract.
  2. Computer systems are constantly changing, as the regular updates to Windows 10 remind us. New processors, graphics cards and networks also pose constant challenges for software.
  3. Calculation methods are evolving.  For example, the Lden method advised by Defra in 2003 was changed in 2005, and advisory updates to CRTN have been issued through the DMRB.  The recent demand for TNPM has also prompted new requirements.
  4. Our programme of continuous improvement, adds functionality to ease the work of busy and demanding professionals, with the aim of a major release every year.

NoiseMap’s features described in this website relate to the current release, and some features are not available in earlier versions.  The ‘News’ page of this website tracks the development of new features.  A permanent licence entitles you to keep using any version released up to the end of the first year after purchase, until your licence expires.

Maintenance entitles you to technical support and software improvements.  It is free on most new licences for the first year after purchase and is optional thereafter.  The price can be less than the cost of buying one new copy of the software every five years, and yet you are always up to date and at the same time you receive valuable on-going user support. Please contact us for a quotation.

The precise terms of the maintenance agreement are stated in the licence agreement.
